A sanded surface free of traces of oscillation is an outstanding quality benchmark. For WEBER, CBF technology has provided the solution. It works using a crosswise running lamella belt which moves transversely within the wide belt station. The pressure lamellas interrupt engagement of the abrasive grains, thus avoiding undesired oscillating stress marks by the sanding belt. The result is a smooth and even surface. The slat belt moves without control system, is subject to the full tolerance compensation of the segmented platen and to uniform wear and can be replaced at low cost.
